We had 3 guests today!

Patrick Grace from Patrick Grace Carpentry
Jim Angelini from Elite Contracting
Dave Calahan from Beneficial Savings Bank

Dieter Enz, our group's Painting Contractor knows how to give your house a great painting that will last for years.  The first step is to see what was done previously to be sure the old surface is being treated correctly.  Major factors are type of trimwork, age, condition of everything including corner beads and type of wallboard or plaster.  There are 3 key steps to painting: Prep, Prep & Prep.  Dieter always recommends going with the highest quality products since they last much longer.  He can even offer a warranty on his work!

The same goes for Dave Johnson from Hounddog Hardwood Flooring.  His work is warranteed and is transferrable to new owners.  No matter the age or amount of damage to the floor Dave can find a way to make it beautiful again.  Most times the floor can be restored or only partially replaced.  If you have a rental hardwood floors are perfect.  No more replacing the carpeting every time you have a new tenant...just have Dave install hardwoods.
Today's guest was Grace Sagnor from Decorangements, she is an interior decorator.

Melanie Palubicki from Aflac gave us some really good info today.  The first thing we learned was that Aflac does not pay Doctors or hospitals...they pay YOU!  You do not have to qualify or have an extended wait time.  Melanie will even get the Doctor's notes and make sure you are paid your full amount if you ever have a claim.  Just answer a few questions for the application...no physical needed.  Cancer survivors of 5+ years can also qualify.  Melanie is actively looking for Doctors, Dentists, HVAC Companies, Landscapers, and Plumbers.

Gary Siano, our Financial Advisor
spoke about several ways or methods of planning for income in retirement. He covered the basics of when and when not to use annuities in planning for a client. He also covered the expenses associated with guaranteeing income for life. Gary then told us about how he helped a recent client to consolidate 4 different 401ks from prior employers into one new plan with a coordinated strategy.

We’re in the dog days of summer and, boy, it is HOT! Despite the heat and vacation schedules, LeTip Chester County East (CCE) had a great showing on Tuesday, with 16 members present and 3 guests.

Our Quarterly Business Mixer will be held on Tuesday, September 22, from 7:30-9:00am. Each LeTip CCE member will have a table to “display their wares” and discuss what products or services you offer, while explaining why you joined LeTip and how it has benefited you/your business. The ultimate goal here is to attract new members to the group. Please be sure to have a list of 10 invitees to submit to Greg Cazillo at our next meeting, along with envelopes for each invitee. You should have handwritten addresses on each envelope to help get the invitation noticed.

Our Speakers today included Jack Ansley, our Scenic and Portrait Photographer, and Marc Bamford, our Public Accountant.

Jack reminded us that he can help customers preserve their memorable summer photos by transforming them into a beautiful matte finish, which can then be hung on a “vacation wall” at home to be shared by all. Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the “Ansley Photo Finish,” an Art Show and Silent Auction Fundraiser to benefit the bike ride against Multiple Sclerosis. It will be held at Jack’s studio, 219 Lancaster Ave. in Devon, Saturday, September 12 (10am-4pm) and Sunday, September 13 (11am-3pm). Photographic art will be featured by several artists, including Jack as well as LeTip CCE member Greg Cazillo! All are invited – be sure to tell your family, friends and co-workers!

Marc discussed the variety of tax and accounting services he offers to companies. This includes Tax services for corporations, LLCs and partnerships. He also offers Bookkeeping tailored to the clients’ needs, providing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly or as-needed basis. In addition, Marc is a wiz at Quick Books but can also pick up on other software programs used by businesses, such as Peachtree. He provides Tax Planning in two scenarios:  1. Situational (for e.g., a father is transferring ownership of the business to his son) or 2. Year-End Planning which occurs in October / November – this is the time businesses should be forecasting their scenario to April 15 and making financial decisions accordingly. Whatever the situation for your business, March will work hard to help produce the best outcome for you!

Our Showboaters today were Mike Clark from The Wireless Store and Greg Cazillo of DX Creative, our Website design guru, and our Unknown Greet was guest Gary Acers.

Mike’s stores sell all the latest cellular/wireless phones, GPS navigation, wireless accessories, Verizon FIOS High Speed Fiber Optic Network, Wireless Data Devices and pre-paid cellular services. Stop by any one of his stores for a consultation or to upgrade your phone. Greg spoke about some of his goals as the new President of LeTip CCE including adding 4 to 5 new members to the group by year end, and up to 25 total by 2010. He also suggested that members link their business Websites to LeTip CCE’s – contact Greg and he’ll get you connected. He mentioned the number of monthly Internet searches performed around the world have increased to 113 BILLION – wow! This puts into perspective how important it is to establish strong keywords for a Website, which helps get a business at the top of organic search results and in front of prospective new clients.

Today we also welcomed Robert Lavecchia with Prime Pay Payroll and Business Services. PrimePay offers a broad range of payroll and business services which help to avoid employee compliance issues, increase productivity, uncover hidden tax liabilities and utilize under-leveraged IRS rulings.

Our Speakers today: Our first speaker was Craig Constable of U Financial which offers Life, Health and Disability Insurance. A good referral for Craig is couples with young children who are excellent candidates for a life insurance policy. Patrick Grace of Patrick J. Grace Carpentry Inc. was our second speaker. His business offers a variety of general contracting, home remodeling and customized cabinetry services. Patrick started his business 11 years ago and is especially interested in working with homeowners in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery and Chester counties.

Showboaters:  Dieter Enz of SLCI Interior Design and Custom Color Creations and Finishes provides interior and exterior painting services to homeowners and commercial buildings. Dieter’s expertise was recognized recently by Sherwin Williams, the largest producer of paints and coatings in the United States, when they invited him to meet with key executives for a one-on-one meeting to get his opinion on their products. Sherwin Williams, as far as we know, has never sought out a painting contractor’s opinion in the same way they have with Dieter. Go Dieter!   And Susan Dykas of eBernie, Inc. specializes in IT consulting services. This includes Network Design, Software Implementations, Antivirus Installations, Backup Solutions, and more. A good referral for Susan is a small to mid-sized professional services firm – especially law firms, accounting firms, engineering firms, and architectural firms –

which are interested in upgrading their hardware or software and/or is opening up new offices or expanding their current space.

The kids are back in school, fall is in the air, and LeTip Chester County East (CCE) is busy putting dollars in our members’ pockets! We had the pleasure of two guests in attendance:  Robin Conlon of Fast Frame Expert Picture Framing and returning guest George Scherbak of Harvey Insurance Group.

Our first speaker today was Susan Dykas, our only computer consultant with eBernie, Inc. Susan discussed the importance of implementing a backup solution for your home or business computer/laptop/network. According to Carbonite, every year 43% of computer users lose irreplaceable photos, emails, documents and financial records. With certain backup solutions, you can access your files (Word or Mac) for any location where there is Internet access. How convenient! And Carbonite is just one safe, secure and reliable solution that eBernie, Inc. can provide for you.

Our second speaker was Craig Constable of U Financial which offers Life, Health and Disability Insurance. Craig discussed the benefits of obtaining long-term life insurance, especially at a young age since the onset of chronic disease often begins in your 50s – which then makes it a bit more difficult to obtain the insurance. You can even take income on your life insurance under certain circumstances. Protect yourself and your loved ones by signing up for life insurance now – before it’s too late!

***Reminder:  LeTip CCE has changed meeting locations, effective immediately. Starting Tuesday, October 6th we will be meeting at the Holiday Inn Express, 120 N. Pottstown Pike in Exton, PA. Please be sure to notify your previous guests.***

LeTip Chester County East (CCE) had an exciting meeting at our new location at the Holiday Inn Express in Exton, PA. We also had two guests in attendance: Eric Greisiger of RBS Worldpay which handles credit card processing for businesses and Peter Clark of Rapid Recycling which specializes in the collection and sorting of all paper and cardboard waste products. Welcome guests! And congratulations to George Scherbak of Harvey Insurance Group who is an independent broker voted in as our newest member to cover the “Commercial and Personal Insurance” category. Welcome aboard George!

Our first speaker today was Dieter Enz, our only professional painter with SLCI. Dieter discussed the power of “P” in his business, beginning with Preparation. Dieter works closely with his customers to articulate their expectations and then Provides them with the most beautiful custom color or the most creative yet functional home remodeling design. His Personalized way-of-working and artistic attention-to-detail is what makes him Passionate about what he does. SLCI customers also have the Peace-of-mind to know they are fully insured, licensed and bonded Professionals. And Pride is key – for Dieter as the applicator and for the homeowner as the recipient of his beautiful work.

Scott Darling
, our only realtor with Re/Max, was our second speaker. Scott discussed the three “Ps” in real estate: 1. Put a sign in yard, 2. Put listing in MLS, and 3. Pray that it sells. What differentiates Scott is that he is a Proactive Listing Agent. For example, if a home is for sales in a certain development, he will send a “Just Listed” card to all the neighbors. The idea is that the neighbors may have a friend or family member who’s been wanting to move into that same neighborhood, so the “Just Listed” card prompts them to reach out to their friend or family member with Scott’s information. Scott also has about 14 Proactive Websites, which is especially important since 87% of people look on the Internet first for a home before contacting a realtor.

Qualified Sales Leads: Lots of tips this week - 4 inside, 8 outside, and 1 inter-chapter. Keep up the good work!

***Reminders:
• Please be sure to mail out at least 5 “Join LeTip and get more business” postcards to prospective members. Some key categories we are looking to fill include: Accountant, Banker, Printer and Chiropractor. And be sure to write a personalized note on each!
• Visitations are due on October 13th. Please be prepared on Tuesday!
• We have changed meeting locations, effective immediately. We are now meeting at the Holiday Inn Express, 120 N. Pottstown Pike in Exton, PA (behind Cheeseburger in Paradise). Please be sure to notify your guests.

It was a dark and dreary morning but the sun was shining at LeTip Chester County East’s (CCE) weekly meeting on Tuesday. We had a jam-packed morning with 4 visitors! They are a family-owned and operated business, that, for over 30 years has provided the Chester County area with custom design and installation for residential and commercial spaces. Scott also talked about Radiant Heating which involves supplying heat directly to the floor or to panels in the wall or ceiling of a house. It is more efficient than baseboard heating and usually more efficient than forced-air heating because no energy is lost through ducts. Scott’s team is trained and certified in their areas of specialty – so you know you’re dealing with the experts!

Our second speaker was Jack Ansley who is the owner of John H. Ansley Photography. For over 60 years the John H. Ansley Studio has developed portraits and fine art scenic landscapes which have been enjoyed throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond. The studio has spanned the history of photography, from flash powder through film to the modern age of digital photography. Jack gave us a history lesson on the photography process in the 19th century. He also mentioned that November is Veteran’s Month which is a great time to schedule a portrait sitting for a friend or family member who is or has served in the armed forces.

Congratulations to everyone for another excellent tip count this week:  8 inside, and 17 outside tips. Great job!

See you Tuesday!

It was another great morning at LeTip Chester County East’s (CCE) weekly meeting on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. We had 2 guests today:  Andrew McDowell of This Leaky House which helps homeowners find leaks, fix them and save you money, energy and improve your CO2 footprint; and we had the esteemed pleasure of the company of Robert Smith-Felver, Executive Director of LeTip International, handling the PA, DE and MD regions.

His selection included bathrooms, showers, kitchen backsplashes, countertops, fireplaces, pools, fountains, Jacuzzis and more! Phil graduated from college with a Marketing major and Finance minor and worked in the corporate world for a bit. But he got bored quickly. Phil always loved to work with his hands and enjoys working with angles and geometry – so he soon discovered the world of tiles. He loves getting up every morning to get to work for his Selective Tileworks clients– so let’s help Phil get some more leads!

2nd Speaker: George is the Executive Sales Adviser with Harvey Insurance Group which provides commercial or personal insurance options. He pointed out that his company is an independent broker, so they are not committed to any one insurance provider. Instead, George can shop around for his clients by reviewing a variety of carriers to get the best deal possible. So if you know individuals or businesses who are interested in reviewing their insurance policies – from homeowners and auto, to business insurance and professional liability insurance, and more – please send George the lead!

TIPS: At this week’s meeting we circulated 25 tips total! (10 inside and 15 outside tips). Go Tippers! And congratulations to George, who just joined last month and also quickly became our “Top Tipper” last month. Way to go George!!

QUOTE OF THE WEEKWe would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible. By Vince Lombardi

We are thankful for a great group of tippers at LeTip Chester County East (CCE) which hosts its weekly meeting every Tuesday. At our last meeting on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, we had the pleasure of 1 guest:  Mark Fedor of Fedor Fabrications who has been in business renovating kitchens and bathrooms since 1982.

SPEAKERS: Our speakers were:  Nivé Dhanak, along with her business partner Jack Blanton, of JBND Tax Books, Inc.; and Greg Cazillo Website designer.

1st Speakers:  Jack and Nivé provided us with an overview of JBND Tax Books and the services they offer to small businesses in tax preparation, bookkeeping and accounting. JBND Tax Books’ goal is to simplify their clients’ needs and, toward that end, offer a monthly “Fixed Fee” service. Clients who subscribe to this service can contact JBND all month-long with questions/comments, for one set fee! JBND is proactive with clients and reviews tax projections in advance of IRS deadlines for the year ahead, so that corrective actions can occur before the current year ends. A good lead for JBND is any small business with revenues of $50,000 to $500,000 and up.

2nd Speaker:  Greg of DX Creative showed us a variety of Websites he recently designed. Greg can design a Website from scratch or he can enhance an existing Website, such as adding an e-commerce component or implementing a Content Management System (CMS) or developing a customized form. Also, Greg can handle the hosting of Websites and can create a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) program to fit just about any budget. He also mentioned it’s important for Websites to contain a “call to action,” for e.g., “Contact us for a free 1-hour consultation.” A good lead for Greg is  any small business in need of a new Website or would like to improve their existing Website.

TIPS: At this week’s meeting we circulated 15 tips total! (9 inside and 6 outside tips). Go Tippers!

DOLLARS IN OUR POCKETS: Please provide Scott Darling your “dollars in your pocket” for the month of November by Tuesday.

BUSINESS MIXER: Our next Quarterly Business Mixer will be held on December 8th at Halligan's Hearth and Home in Malvern. We need contributions for our prize drawings. Can you help?!

SPEAKERS: Our speakers were:  Craig Constable of UFinancial and Mike Clark of The Wireless Zone.

1st Speaker:  Craig discussed the difference between “Term” vs. “Permanent” Life Insurance, with a key difference being coverage for a specific period of time or for as long as you live. Whole Life Insurance is the basic type of permanent life insurance. Other types of permanent life insurance include: Universal Life and Variable Universal Life. Craig also offers Business Owned Life Insurance which is permanent insurance held by employers on the lives of their employees. This is to protect your business on the death of an employee(s) whose services are vital to the company’s operations. A good lead for him is a closely held company where there are 2,3,4 owners or partners and they are looking to protect what they have worked so hard to build.

2nd Speaker:  Mike represents Wireless Zones, authorized retailers for Verizon Wireless, in Frazer and Thorndale. Mike offers a full line of cell phones, Smart Phones: Blackberry, PALM, etc., as well as aircards for laptops. The newest, hot product is the Motorola Droid which is the first Android device offered by Verizon Wireless and is based on Google's Android operating system. It offers many cool features like Built-in Google search technology, including voice-based search. It gives users access to "tens of thousands" of freeware, shareware and for-purchase applications and widgets that don't require an app store nor an approval process. Not getting what you want from your wireless devices? Give Wireless Zone a call.
