The tips are flowing too! 27, count them, 27 outside tips today. Thats 27 referrals for putting dollars in your pocket!  An outstanding congratulations to Dieter Enz, SLCI, for contributing TEN tips. great job everyone!

Our speakers were James Hope, our only mortgage consultant and provider, and Jack Blanton, our only Taxman!

James Hope, of Gateway Funding, gave us great hopes to get a mortgage, outlining how a credit report is important, and how to achieve this. In assesing a mortage peobability, his C-I-A formula is  three points to consider.  Credit, Income and Assets, and how each of these are important.  Gateway Funding also offers the only Happiniess Guarantee in the industry! If you are not happy with his service and attentiveness, he will pay your first month's payment.  He has  never had to do this, a reflection of his outstanding service.

Jack Blanton, JBND Taxbooks, Inc. gave us a bookeeping lesson in assesing our income and expenses and outlining a great diagram for the five categories all businesses need to have for good bookeeping.  In keeping good records, one must have these categories and be able to split their expenses to gain the maximum tax advantages for their business. That is a service provided for all his clients.

We welcome our newest member, Dan Wilson, Doctor of Chiropractic at Fieldhouse Wellness in Great Valley.

Quote: "To aim at the best and to remain essentially ourselves is one and the same thing."

March 8 meeting was an overview of our elections.  The board as is, took time to explain to the member what each role is, their postitin and responsibilities. The president, Greg Cazillo revealed his vision to reach 30 members this year.  It will be done!  Just think, 30 referrals for your business!

Greg also took time to talk about his experiences at the (help me here) National convention for Internet Marketing.  A very lively and dynamic discussion ensued about social networking, the trends in social media and how important this change is to promoting your business.  The importance of an email newletter to reach your contacts is imperative! Once a month, reach out to those you do business with, and those you would like to!  Greg, as website designer, can help you with this.

Top O the Morning to Letip with a grand day for business referrals.  Our speakers were W. marshal Pearson, attorney, and Jack Ansley, from John H Ansley Photography.

W. Marshal Pearson, Estate planning Attorney, spoke of estate planning, and describing how you should transfer your assets the way you want to.  A Living will is very important, and choosing a power of attorney to carry out those wishes is critical.  He reviewed steps to make a living will, and guidelines to prepare your chosen one about your decisions.  A serious subject that way presented in a very compassionate way is what makes Marshal Pearson an expert in his field.

As a graduate of St Joes, and Army and Vietnam Veteran, Jack Ansley, portrait photographer, began working with his father in 1972. He showed us a wonderful video slide show of his most favorite works, displaying portraits, amazing pets ( how does he get them to pose so regally?), and porfessional, corporate portraits.  His focus is on formal portraits, and his willingness to accomodate families and clients even on Sundays, and holidays, separates his service from others. He is truly an artist!

LeTip Chester County East treated themselves to a wonderful presentation from Motivational Speaker Eric Swanson of Universal Seminars. Taking a break from the usual meeting format, LeTip was refreshed with some new ideas about business, customer service, and what it takes to become more successful.  Eager to start new habits and look into one's self for improvement, Eric gave the group some new ideas, and insightful points to making changes that will improve the quality of one's business life and even personal life.

The importance of asking for referrals from each contact one makes will certainly build good  relationships and increase profitability in our businesses.  Eric outlined five points to a better business, enhancing each one with present life examples.  His positive outlook gave the entire group enthusiasm to try his techniques.

LeTip Chester County East is grateful for his inspiration, and is eager to get out there and become the sales force for each member to succeed.

Our Speakers:

Quote of the day:

"Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises" -Demosthenes

Our Second to last meeting of 2011 and we have hit one half MILLION dollars in referrals and tips! Your business could be a part of this!

Our newest member, Susan Salvo, of Art and Architecture, presented a talk of her roots and beginnings.  From a very young child her interest was in building, as she built her own cabin for tea parties and friends. Her credentials are many, one being designing the offices for National Geographic building, the Henrietta Hankin Library and other local and regional works. She also does wonderful architectural renderings, and her  diversive background allows her to design office spaces, additions, malls, residential living spaces and more!

Our other newest member, David Marshall, of ADP Payroll systems, showed us an online program for any small business to track payroll.  His company sets up a program, includes all information that is automatically updated, and includes all information needed for each employee. It is so easy and simple for your payroll, tax updates, 1099's, and their company guarantees delivery of paychecks in 24 hours.

Feb 7 2012 will be the first Business Mixer of the new year.  Anyone is welcomed to showcase their business.  Reserve a table and grow your business!

Quote for the week:

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense."
