As the founder of Elite Collegiate Planning and a managing partner at Paradigm Financial Group, Inc., Dave Kozak works with hundreds of families across the country to redefine what money means to them.
Acting in line with his personal motto—"It’s what you think you know that prevents you from learning”—Dave is passionate about educating families on how to send their children to college without jeopardizing their own financial goals, such as retirement. Dave believes that financial planning is not about investing all your money in stocks and hoping for the best. Instead, he recognizes that it requires a comprehensive understanding of each family’s individual needs, as solutions will never be one-size-fits-all.
After graduating from Franklin & Marshall College with a degree in business, economics, and psychology, Dave spent his first few years out of school working in marketing and sales for startups, even trying out corporate America for a while, only to realize that he longed for a more fulfilling career path. As one of Allstate’s Inner Circle Elite award recipient in 2011, he had hit every metric of success, but he knew that selling home and auto insurance wasn’t his passion; he wanted to start a business that had impact and longevity. After hearing about a college funding-based business in the financial arena, and with three kids of his own, he decided to create Elite Collegiate Planning and now Paradigm Financial Group, Inc. to help others who are asking the same question he once had: How are we going to pay for all of this?
Dave has now worked in the financial planning industry for ten years, and during that time, he has granted hundreds of families a second chance to take control of their financial situation and live a debt-free life. Giving students the opportunity to afford their dream school and parents the promise that they can pay for college without hurting their retirement fund is what Dave finds most rewarding about his job. Outside of work though, his family comes first and is the reason why he is so passionate about what he does because like of all of his clients, Dave has to plan for college too.
