Our meeting began with a somber moment of reflection for all those affected by the events of 9/11, and in remembrance.  

Our first speaker is a newly appointed member, Rich Zellers, with Prime Lending. As a commercial lender, Rich took us through the steps of mortgages.  His goal is to tailor a mortgage to your needs, and personal attention with integrity is his focus.  One can obtain a mortgage for even as little as $100 down.  Rich explained the FHA programs, and revealed a benefit of a 203k, which allows a new FHA homeowner to add as much as $35,000 to their mortgage for future repairs and improvements on a new home. On the heels of Rich was Scott Darling, of Remax, who took us through the complicated steps of a short sale.  Scott is a CDPE - Certified Distressed Property Expert, and his approach to something that could seem overwhelming becomes simple. With His knowledge of the ins and outs of  an unstable economy,  a short sale can be an option for some sellers.  Although it can be a long termed solution, Scott's knowledge outlines all of the options, and could offer relief for sellers who may be in this position. They can be assured that Scott will follow through to make this transition smooth.
