Le Tip Le News

It was the morning before the “big storm” and there was lots of tipping at the weekly meeting of LeTip Chester County East (CCE). We had the pleasure of one guest – John Reynolds of John Reynolds Design Associates (building design and restoration).

SPEAKER: Our two speakers were Mark Burkholder of Burkholder Brothers Landscaping and Gary Siano of Guided Wealth Management.

1st Speaker:  Mark discussed the snow removal piece of his business, which has kept his team extremely busy this winter season. However, they are now gearing up for the spring time. Mark is offering a “turf care special” which consists of two free applications if signed up before 3/15 and free comprehensive soil analysis with program. Burkholder Brothers also installs and services lawn and garden sprinkler systems. Mark is proud of their  proactive approach with clients who deal with the same point-of-contact at all times. A good referral is any commercial or residential property in Chester County.

2nd Speaker:  Gary, who is an independent wealth manager, discussed his goals in helping clients with financial planning - which is to diversify in stocks and bonds PLUS use different products like annuities. Gary is hosting a dinner meeting at Maggiano’s for clients and friends on February 18th, 6:00pm. He will focus on the new year and explain important key investment concepts that will help solidify a prosperous financial future. Please RSVP! A good lead is any young adult about to be married to an individual who is about to retire, and anyone in between.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret to outward success. By Henry Ward Beecher (feel free to send your favorite quotes onto Susan for publication here!)

It was a chilly morning but we quickly warmed up with the networking at LeTip Chester County East’s (CCE) weekly meeting on Tuesday. We had the pleasure of 3 guests! – Kristin Molavoque of MacElree Harvey (law offices), Kevin Morris of Muzak (Music, Marketing on Hold, Sound Systems), and Titus Detwiler with Melaleuca (Health and Welleness).

SPEAKERS: Our speakers were:  Jack Ansley of John Ansley Photography and Scott Darling of Re/Max Realtors.

1st Speaker:  Jack shared with us a beautiful slide presentation containing some of the many pet pictures he has photographed over the years. Some of the pictures were of just the dogs and some were of the pets with their owners. Amazing at how the pets resemble their owners! Jack is running a special for the month of February – 25% of anything spent at the studio will be donated to the Main Line Animal Rescue group. http://www.mlar.org/ A good referral is anyone who would like to have their pet professionally photographed.

2nd Speaker: Good leads for Scott D., our only residential realtor, include:  1. 1st time buyers (tax credit! - anyone who is engaged or about to be married); 2. move-up buyers (from townhouse to single-family home); 3. referrals (buyers or sellers, local or anywhere around the world); and 4. Anyone in financial difficulty and in a possible foreclosure situation (Scott is a Certified Distressed Property Expert and he can help!). Scott can also handle commercial realty requests through one of his business partners.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK The future belongs to the risk takers, not the security seekers.  The more you seek security, the less of it you will have and the more you pursue opportunity, the more security you will achieve. By Brian Tracy

QUOTE OF THE WEEK He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else. By Benjamin Franklin

Networking with LeTip Chester County East (CCE) is more energizing than caroling with Santa’s elves! Thanks to our tippers for another jam-packed morning at our recent meeting on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

SPEAKERS: Our speakers were:  Craig Constable of UFinancial and Mike Clark of The Wireless Zone.

1st Speaker:  Craig discussed the difference between “Term” vs. “Permanent” Life Insurance, with a key difference being coverage for a specific period of time or for as long as you live. Whole Life Insurance is the basic type of permanent life insurance. Other types of permanent life insurance include: Universal Life and Variable Universal Life. Craig also offers Business Owned Life Insurance which is permanent insurance held by employers on the lives of their employees. This is to protect your business on the death of an employee(s) whose services are vital to the company’s operations. A good lead for him is a closely held company where there are 2,3,4 owners or partners and they are looking to protect what they have worked so hard to build.

2nd Speaker:  Mike represents Wireless Zones, authorized retailers for Verizon Wireless, in Frazer and Thorndale. Mike offers a full line of cell phones, Smart Phones: Blackberry, PALM, etc., as well as aircards for laptops. The newest, hot product is the Motorola Droid which is the first Android device offered by Verizon Wireless and is based on Google's Android operating system. It offers many cool features like Built-in Google search technology, including voice-based search. It gives users access to "tens of thousands" of freeware, shareware and for-purchase applications and widgets that don't require an app store nor an approval process. Not getting what you want from your wireless devices? Give Wireless Zone a call.

TIPS: At this week’s meeting we circulated 21 tips total! (10 inside and 11 outside tips). Go Tippers!

DOLLARS IN OUR POCKETS: Please provide Scott Darling your “dollars in your pocket” for the month of November asap!

BUSINESS MIXER: Our Quarterly Business Mixer will be held on December 8th at Halligan's Hearth and Home in Malvern. (Our meetings will pick up again at the Holiday Inn Express in Exton at our December 15th meeting.)

QUOTE OF THE WEEKIn essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.

By Tony Robbins

I’m excited for another successful mixer on December 8th – yay!

See you!
