LeTip Chester County East met on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Robert Smith-Felver, our regional LeTip contact, joined us for the meeting. We also had a visitor who is a retired engineer looking to connect with business professionals and possibly re-enter the workforce in some capacity.

He can print photos to decorate local homes and businesses or to send a reminder of this area to people who have moved away. Contact him to print his photos--or your own!

Our speaker was Dave Kozak, our property and casualty insurance representative. When he writes a policy for homeowner's insurance, he wants to ensure that his client's house could be put back together at least as good as it was prior to the claim, if not better. He recommends purchasing insurance through an agent, not just an online service. Make sure that your agent will fight for you when the need arises. If you haven't spoken to your insurance agent at least twice in the past year, Dave feels that you are not getting enough attention. If you consult with him, he will be honest about whether he can improve your cost or your insurance coverage. Dave also recommends making sure that you have sufficient coverage for uninsured and underinsured motorists. These categories of coverage are sometimes shrugged off in the interest of saving money; but Dave reminded us that these policies cover us, not the other motorist, in the event of an accident.
